Hie und Da
HIE UND DA is a documentary feature film inspired by Wolfram von Eschenbach's Parzival. In the first part, we accompany climate activists Hanna and Caro through a hot summer in Vienna, between training sessions on nonviolent resistance, protests, and court hearings. In the second part, several years later, Hanna lives a secluded life with her child Anuk in an abandoned house in the forest. Her everyday life is marked by repetitive care work for her child, the house, and the fields. She is in contact by phone with Caro, who is struggling through the chauvinistic cultural scene as a nomad living in precarious conditions. Anuk's curiosity about the world finally prompts Hanna to break out of her more or less voluntary isolation and venture a new start in society.
