Glitter & Doom is a film production company based in Vienna, Austria. The company develops and produces feature films and documentaries for cinema and series in various formats. We have high artistic, aesthetic and content-related demands on every new project. We want to tell stories that surprise, move and open up new horizons. It is also important to us not to lose sight of the potential audience. Our films and series should reach people via the most suitable medium.

We work very closely with the filmmakers, close to the artistic process and with the greatest possible independence.

After completing a bachelor's degree in Florence, Italy, Lena Weiss studied production at the Vienna Film Academy and Graduated with a master's thesis on sustainability in the film industry in 2020. After numerous short films and very different work experiences in the film business, founding her own production company in 2017 was the logical step in order to continue to implement projects according to her ideas.

Lena is well connected among the next generation of filmmakers, active in film politics and brings her experience as a production manager to the table. She also worked as an author, which she wants to focus on more in the future.

Lena is responsible for Green Producing at Glitter & Doom.

Ricarda Ecker is part of Glitter&Doom as production assistant since November 2021. She enriches the company with her experience from the theater, her peace of mind in performing organizational tasks, her graphic talent and especially her enthusiasm for scripts.

Sustainability is very important to us. After a lot of theoretical work on the subject, "Heimsuchung", the company's first feature film, was produced as a green production according to the specifications of the Umweltzeichen 76 (Austrian Ecolabel) . We want to be among the Green Filming pioneers in Austria and reduce the ecological footprint of ongoing productions and processes to the necessary minimum. We do this by sharing resources (we currently do not have our own office), through a lot of dialogue with all employees and service providers and through conscious decisions in the areas of transport, procurement and communication. We are at the beginning of the process and look forward to the challenges ahead.

Gender equality and diversity are important to us and we want to make the greatest possible contribution to the subject within our sphere of activity. Glitter & Doom signed the Austrian version of the  Inclusion rider. We are committed to the values listed there and want to implement the measures in front of and behind the camera.
