Dear compatriots, dear community, dear parents,
we are looking for a young actress to play the leading role (14-15 years old) in a new Romanian/Austrian film. Acting experience is not a must, we are looking for quick-witted girls with individuality and style.
I myself am Romanian, come from Cluj and grew up in Austria. The story is autobiographically inspired, a humorous look at a complex relationship between mother and daughter,
The girls don't have to speak Romanian perfectly, it's enough if they understand the language.

LOGLINE
30-year-old CAMELIA #millennialmom, a Romanian who emigrated to Vienna, has to prevent her daughter, Alina, from meeting her biological father. That's why she gets on the bus to Romania with Alina. Thus begins the turbulent journey of a desperate woman who lied to her daughter years ago and is now afraid of losing her because of it.
A colorful and loud road movie about motherhood and diaspora in the age of fourth wave feminism and Instagram.
